She’s back! And better than ever. This wine evolves from first to last sip. The pop of the cork greats you with vibrancy and spice, layers emerge as oxygen plays with the glass. Developing over time the end of the bottle becomes more sultry and silky.
White pepper, nutmeg, pomagranate, rose petal, rhubarb, gravel, meyer lemon pith. Medium to light bodied.
The Ripken Vineyard ‘Guard Road Block’ sits 19 feet below sea level on limestone soils. To the best of my knowledge this is the lowest elevation vineyard on the west coast. It is a certified Lodi Green vineyard. The Lodi Rules takes a comprehensive approach to farming that goes beyond just pest management to promote practices that enhance biodiversity, water and air quality, soil health, and employee and community well-being. This allows us to produce higher quality wines more reflective of the places and people that grow them. It gives you the opportunity to promote responsible farming by enjoying the great wines from these vineyards. When you drink a certified sustainably grown Lodi wine, you are supporting a farmer, a vintner, and a community that embraces its responsibility to take care of the environment.
Graciano: is a rare grape variety that originates in the Rioja region of Spain. Once widely grown in Northern Spain it had nearly fallen to extinction due to its inconveniently low yields. There are approximately 13 acres of Graciano reported in the US.
